Al Ain University participates in World Drug Day

Al Ain University participates in World Drug DayAl Ain University participated in the "World Day Against Drugs 2015", which was organized by Al Ain Police Directorate at the Bawadi Mall in Al Ain city, and where the event aims to increase public awareness of the dangers of drugs and to clarify the negative effects at the individual, family and community. It also aims for individuals to seek in moving away from the causes of addiction its dangers by spreading awareness to the society, which could kill our children and our young people.

The university participated by reading out a collection of poems submitted by some students: Salem Al Wahshi and Walid Mohammed from the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Anas Al Mutheeb from the College of Law and the students, Tamim Mohammed and Ayman Mohammad from the College of Pharmacy raised questions about drug awareness and prevention as well as the role of the university and the penitentiary correctional institutions in this area.

A number of Pharmacy students under the supervision of Professor Rami Abu Jarad conducted a series of medical tests to the public, where such participation is aimed at heightening awareness of the protection of the family and to maintain the safety of its personnel, and their children by keeping the away from danger, so that the family is the first security corporation and springboard in battle by our society against the scourge of drugs.
