Arabic Language Symposium and its Contemporary Challenges on the Occasion of an International Day on the Mother Language in Al Ain University

The Deanship of Students Affairs at the Al Ain University organized a symposium, on both campuses, under the rubric "The Arabic Language and its Contemporary Challenges" on the occasion of  an International Day on the Mother Language. The symposium was collaborated with with the Ministry of Culture and Youth and the Federation of Authors and Writers, and accompanying it was the opening of the Art Symposium, which got together some 30 art works, in which five students from AAU in Abu Dhabi participated  in an activity under the theme entitled: Creativity

The AAU Assistant Dean of the Students Affairs, Dr. Iyad Abdel Majeed, explained that the Arabic Language has gone through different situations and faced multiple challenges. He too called for protecting it from the encumbrances of the foreign languages that play as successors of the Arabic vocabulary, and stressed the role of educational and cultural institutions in securing the validity of the language.

As Ms. Mona Al Amri also explained the functions of the Ministry of Culture and Youth as well as community development in protecting the oral communication, traced by a lecture from Professor Habeeb Al Sayegh, Chairman of the Federation of UAE writers, who claimed that it is our identity that we need to fight, we demand to render a number of poems praising our love of the Arabic Language and the need to keep it
