AAU –Abu Dhabi Campus- organized workshop entitled “The Basics of Creative Writing”

Anxious to build up the culture and the creativity among students, the Deanship of Student Affairs organized a workshop entitled "The Basics of Creative Writing”, in Al Ain University –Abu Dhabi Campus- in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, presented by poet / Sameh Kawash, in the presence of faculty and students.
The workshop started with a brief about the basics of creative writing, goals and objectives, and different behavioral patterns of writing.
He also reviewed the types of literary doctrines, which are embodied through the word and image, and where he displayed the finest words of novelists and philosophers. He pointed out that writing fiction is concerned on narrative, while poetry focuses on description, and the image is the embodiment of artistic doctrine, which belongs to the writer, He added that the dialogue is a significant impact in documentary writing, where he asked three of the students to play the role of a father, a mother and a son to express the modernity and the difficulties faced in the community. The students responded to the idea as they positively watch a short performance at the end of the workshop.
