AAU students attend the International Conference of Sports for Women

In collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences (Applied Psychology Department), organized a visit for the students to the 4th International Conference of Sports for Women 2017, which is an initiative of the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sport Academy (FBMA).
AAU students attended different sessions, most notably, the obstacles which prevent women from participating in sports, in addition to, interviews with women who have world championships in different sports.
The aim of the visit is to promote the student’s interaction with the community, where the conference is an important event that promotes and support sport and culture in the Emirati women’s life, and to create a link between women of different generations to overcome obstacles and break the barriers to get into sports.
