Dubai Foundation for Women and Children and AAU combat violence

The College of Law at Al Ain University, Al Ain campus, organized an awareness lecture about the role of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children to combat violence and human trafficking, presented by Mrs. Zamzam Al Ameri and Dr. Jamal Barafi, in the presence of Prof. Mustafa Qandil, Dean of the College of Law, academic staff and students.

The lecture reviewed the role of the Dubai Foundation to protect the women and children who are exposed to physical, emotional, sexual, and or financial abuse. In addition to, receiving persons by means of threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, abuse of power or of position, taking advantage of the vulnerability of the person or the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person for the purpose of exploitation.

The foundation provides various services such as; legal, Medical, educational, Recreational and sheltering services.

This lecture aims to prevent various forms of violence through community education programs, and, to Promote community awareness on violence against women and children and inculcate empowerment culture through support programs
