A Delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Visits Al Ain University to Discuss Academic Cooperation

Al Ain University welcomed at its Abu Dhabi campus a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, comprising H.E. Alisher Salomov, Advisor to the Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Uzbekistan; H.E. Mr. Jakhongir Xaitov, Deputy Head of Mission (Charge Affaires), and Mr. Sardor Karimjanov, First Secretary for Economic Affairs.
The delegation was received by Dr. Noor Al Deen Atatreh, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Ain University, and Prof. Amer Qasem, Vice President of the University. The visit aimed to discuss ways to enhance academic cooperation between Al Ain University and educational institutions in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and to open new channels of communication and exchange of expertise in the fields of higher education.
During the meeting, the Uzbek delegation highlighted the key aspects of development witnessed by the Republic of Uzbekistan across various sectors, particularly in higher education, as well as the efforts of the Uzbek government to develop universities, strengthen international cooperation, and provide a competitive educational environment that supports students and researchers.
Dr. Noor Al Deen Atatreh also presented Al Ain University’s strategic vision and academic journey since its establishment, highlighting the qualitative development and continuous growth the University has achieved in its programs, specializations, and infrastructure. He also shed light on the University’s colleges and academic programs, as well as its efforts to foster an advanced educational and research environment that aligns with modern standards in higher education and reflects its commitment to graduating qualified competencies capable of contributing effectively to development and the labor market.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of establishing future partnerships between Al Ain University and a number of Uzbek universities, including student and academic exchange, as well as the organization of joint scientific and cultural events, contributing to the enhancement of knowledge and cultural cooperation between both sides.
At the conclusion of the meeting, H.E. Salomov presented a commemorative gift from the Embassy to Al Ain University. The delegation expressed its appreciation to the University for the warm reception and constructive dialogue, emphasizing the importance of maintaining communication in a way that supports prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of education.
