Al Ain University Opens a New Testing Venue for IELTS Tests in cooperation with the British Council


Al Ain University, in cooperation with the British Council, has opened a new testing venue to administer the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in Al Ain Campus. All different types of IELTS can be taken here, whether on paper or on computer.

The center was opened by Dr. Noor El Deen Atatreh- AAU Chancellor, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae- AAU President, Dr. Abdelghani Remache- Director of the English Language Center, in the presence of representatives from the British Council and AAU Managers.

Atatreh said that, this step aims to serve AAU students and the whole community as well, additionally, it reflects the strategic collaboration and close relation between the university and the British Council over the years.

The center provides an opportunity for those who are looking for work, study, immigration or to advance their global career opportunities in the UK and other countries, including Australia, Canada and New Zealand to take the IELTS for UKVI (IELTS test for UK visas and immigration) in Al Ain University.

Dr. Remache said, “With this new venue, we offer test-takers more choice in terms of time and dates, they will receive their results, faster than before”, He added; “We are pleased to offer these options in Al Ain campus and Abu Dhabi Campus as well”.

It is noteworthy that Al Ain University is an accredited center by the British Council for holding IELTS exams, and it also offers IELTS preparation courses by the University's English Language Center and Continuing Education Center.
